After wanting to update my website for many moons, I have finally done it. It needs a bit of tweaking but at least the foundation is there and it is live! I assume if you are reading the blog post you have seen the new site. Please let me know what you think and if there are any difficulties on your end.

Along with a new site there have been a LOT of new pieces created over the summer. They are not all yet up but if you have had a chance to get to any of my shows you have seen a few of them. Working with metal is very rewarding to me and I love knowing that my work is being worn for special occasions, and used to mark special life events. Although creating jewelry is in my blood, I also love working with copper and creating "larger" (for me at least" pieces.

Take a peek at these! These little wall hangings are fun and motivational. Don't worry I haven't gone too serious on you. Keep checking back as you will see some quite humorous words disguised on these 3 x 1.5 inch pieces of copper. You can also send me your own text to have turned into one of these little gems.

The copper has been given a patina to bring out the natural beauty of the metal as well as add contrast to the lettering. The copper will continue to change over the years but I can guarantee you will love this it.

A New Favorite

I wanted to share my favorite set of stacking rings that I have been wearing. This is a great option for a person who loves wide rings but not always the way they feel. This set is made up of 5 sterling silver bands, which I find for my hand is good amount. It offers the look of a wide ring with the comfort and flexibility of individual rings.

As with everything I make these are 100% handmade one at time by me. Each one will be unique as a result of being handmade. 3 bands are a hammered texture and 2 are hammered as well with linear detail. Made entirely of sterling silver they are created to last for years and years and will be a favorite ring to wear.

Welcome 2012!

Here we are working our way into 2012! 2011 was a busy, busy year. I branched out with a lot of new shows and met a lot of fantastic people. I have been doing this for many years and each year I try to expand a bit more and test the waters in new areas. My kiddos are growing (too fast) and it allows me a bit more time to focus on my work.

A few things I am excited to tackle this year:
To officially get my website revamped with new pictures
To stay on top of new designs - I have a lot that have yet to be viewed online
To focus on some larger shows and really "get out there"

Another purpose of doing my blog will be to showcase some fantastic creative folks. I couldn't do what I do without being surrounded by wonderful creativity and support! So, I am excited to take some time to put the spotlight on what they do and learn a little bit more about their craft.
